Get in touch with your inner music guru with the Dublin Electronic Arts Festival's kids programme from 27th September - 24th October.
DEAF JUNIOR
Venue: Various (see below)
Date: 27th September - 25th October
The official festival mightn't kick off until 24th October but Dublin kids don't have to wait that long to get a taste of the fun and excitement of the Dublin Electronic Arts Festival - they get their own version!
Starting on 27th September and continuing right up until the start of the "grown-ups" DEAF festival, DEAF Junior promises aspiring young musicians in some of Dublin's less well-off areas the chance to get serious hands-on experience in digital music-making and recording, with a series of sensational Saturday Workshops!
Especially designed to cater for kids unfamiliar with digital technology, each eight-hour workshop will take place in a different Community Arts Centre across the city, with DEAF's trained tutors working to help kids build up self-confidence - and maybe become part of next generation of electronic musicians and producers!
They'll even produce their very own compilation music CD, and hear their work presented at a special DEAF Junior Award Ceremony at The Ark as part of the main festival. So check out the dates and venues below, or email d1@d1.ie for more information.
