This Autumn, the Stone Gallery hosts its most prestigious and exciting exhibition to date, a remarkable collaboration between two of Thailand's most renowned artists - spellbinding holistic painter Nim Kruasaeng and the elusive, genre defying Mit Jai-Inn.
Curated by well-known artist and art critic Jennie Guy, the exhibition promises to showcase Kruasaeng's mesmerizing take on everyday life, alongside Jai-Inn's paradoxical work in contemporary art to create a unique contrast between two very different artistic minds.
Kruasaeng's colourful and aesthetically harmonious work aims to entrance the viewer by portraying a balance between the inner self, outer self, and the world at large, while Jai-Inn's enigmatic creations defy convention by refusing to conform to traditional labels (he refuses to call his canvas works "painting", or his 3D pieces "sculpture").
And if all that sounds a little confusing, don't worry! The exhibition catalogue includes an interview between Jennie Guy and international curator Pier Luigi Tazzi (who has worked extensively with both Kruasaeng and Jai-Inn), presenting a critique and a context for artists, helping audiences unfamiliar with their work to get the most out of this fantastic exhibition!.
